The Parenting/Social Skills Program (PSSP) includes a variety of services designed to promote child development while strengthening family involvement and well-being.

The lead caseworker is responsible for helping to improve family functioning and for supporting the family while drawing up and implementing the childcare plan.

The team of experienced caseworkers oversees cases involving children in care, independent living, special needs children and child protection, referred by New Brunswick’s Department of Social Development.

The range of services includes:

  • Supervised visits and spot checks (child protection)
  • Program for adults
  • Independent living program (guardianship)
  • Social skills/social activities program
  • Parenting skills program
  • Transportation
  • Reports and in-court testimony
  • Other

The program is offered throughout the Restigouche region, from Belledune to Saint-Quentin, not only for Department of Social Development clients, but also for all families seeking services.
