Lyne Lagacé-Bouchard is a dedicated professional who specializes in reading remediation for students with learning disabilities or challenges. Since January 2024, she has held the position of specialized resource teacher at Restigouche Family Services, where she continues to make a significant impact in her field.
Lyne has had a remarkable 36-year career as a teacher, specializing in assisting students with reading and writing difficulties. Her focus on reading remediation has established her as an expert in this field. Over the years, she has participated in and facilitated various training courses on the process of learning to read, with a particular emphasis on re-education strategies for students with dyslexia and specific learning disabilities.
She is renowned in Restigouche for her strong collaboration with psychologists and speech therapists, which has earned her an excellent reputation. As a result of these collaborations, she has gained a deeper understanding of how the brain functions. This knowledge has allowed her to create customized interventions to assist children and teenagers who are experiencing difficulties with reading and writing.
Although Lyne has retired from full-time teaching, her passion for education still burns bright.
