Inspired by her own recovery journey, Laura Ann Paul is a Registered Social Worker and Canadian Certified Addiction Counsellor with more than 20 years of experience supporting individuals experiencing challenges related to substance use, mental health, trauma, recovery and other life stressors. She has worked across community, healthcare, forensic mental health, and educational settings, providing compassionate, evidence-informed care grounded in collaboration, respect, and empowerment.
Laura’s approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and person-centred. She is passionate about helping individuals build resilience, develop practical coping strategies, and move toward meaningful, self-defined goals. Tailoring therapy to each individual’s needs, Laura draws from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Laura feels privileged to walk alongside individuals in their recovery journeys, creating a safe and supportive environment where they can feel comfortable being themselves.
